About the Redslim Data Engineering Team
The core mission of Data Engineering team is to deliver data processing pipelines that support Redslim data products and services. Our team works horizontally supporting all areas of the business from operations to activation or reporting and has a strong technology focus.
About the role
Data Engineer is expected to have deep understanding of data technologies with a strong software engineering background/education, along with a deep interest in data analytics and process improvement. The role involves creating data solutions to process data at scale, both in batch and real-time pipelines, to support a wide range of data-driven projects and support our transformation into a self-service organisation.
Key responsibilities
Data Engineers are expected to have deep understanding of data technologies with a strong desire to develop ETL capabilities along with a deep interest in data analytics and process improvement.
Design, implement and maintain data integration code based on Python and Spark (eg PySpark).
Research, suggest and implement best patterns and practices in line with modern industry standards.
Provide technical documentation and support to internal operations request related to the data platform.
Create data solutions to process data at scale, both in batch and real-time pipelines.
Support a wide range of data-driven projects working on assigned projects to meet client project requirements and deadlines.
Skills & Experience
The following software engineering skills are highly desirable:
o Technologies: Python, SQL and PySpark.
o Architecture: Cloud (MS Azure preferred), Orchestration and Databricks.
o Platforms: Understanding the service catalog of cloud computing platforms (Azure or AWS).
o Practice: Development based on unit testing and design patterns.
o Methodology: Experience on the practices of any Agile methodology (SCRUM/XP)
o Big Data: Experience working with data at scale, including experience with some of the following: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka.
o Databases: Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL)
o Framework: Familiarity with automated functional tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
o Orchestration: Experience with building and deploying code using orchestration frameworks (Docker and Kubernetes).
o Others: Interest in Business Intelligence, Process Improvements and ML/AI are a plus.

Ready to travel up to 25% of the time.
English is our working language. Spanish and or French would be an advantage.
