Data Engineer

Job Details

Role: Data Engineer

Status: New position. Full-time job.

About the Redslim Technology Team:

The core mission of Data Engineering team is to deliver the data infrastructure and data processing pipelines that support Redslim data products and services. Our team works horizontally supporting all areas of the business from operations to activation or reporting and has a strong technology focus.

Key responsabilities:

  • Implement/develop pipelines to ingest data into our Platform and Front-Ends from a variety of data sources

  • Implement data transformation pipelines for real-time and batch environments

  • Support all product teams in adopting our data engineering tech stack to generate new data streams

  • Collaborate with Operations, Activation, Reporting and Business Development teams to identify requirements and develop the necessary data workflows to deliver against those requirements

  • Lead the development of products, platform and internal capabilities.

  • Contribute to ETL (Extraction | Transformation | Loading) strategy, Participating in the development of internal capabilities.

  • Manage our in-house SPRINT platform, including both production and development.

  • Manage software deployments, server configuration, SQL repositories and Azure environment.

  • Contribute to defining our future software and hardware needs, leading the development and the deployment.

  • Contribute and Collaborate with the rest of the development team and operations.

  • Automate developments and manual tasks using scripting.

  • Adopt and implement best practices and champion an engineering culture, emphasizing Agile and the relationship between Development Team and Operations Team.

  • Implement detailed planning and processes to guarantee high levels of services.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience in either Python and/or C#

  • SQL, SQL Server, TSQL, and stored procedures expertise.

  • Relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, MongoDB, Neo4J. etc.). Experience with Snowflake data warehouse is a plus.

  • Batch processing frameworks and workflow orchestrators.

  • Architecting data pipelines

  • Familiarity and interest in cloud native technologies which includes AWS and Azure MS.

  • Familiarity working with structured and unstructured data

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment of code.

  • Degree in computer science, engineering and/or technical degree from an accredited institution

  • Exposure to Azure and cloud computing a bonus

  • Practical and documented experience in development

  • Fluent in English, any other language is considered an asset

  • Excellent communication skills

About the role:

Data Engineer is expected to have deep understanding of data technologies with a strong software engineering background, along with a deep interest in data analytics, process improvement and AI/ML. International Operations Associate

We are looking for an International Operations Associate willing to join the Redslim Team. The selected person will take full leadership and responsibility on projects with clients, their on-going deliverables and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities and tasks:
  • Lead international projects to develop and implement our solutions to top CPG clients.

  • Help assess clients’ needs and support the design of our solutions, back-end and front-end.

  • Responsibilities range from conceptual design to deployment and also on-going regular deliveries: collect, transform, enrich and publish client data. 

  • Drive an agile and flexible working model in support of Redslim the core values.

  • Leverage your problem-solving attitude and our framework to resolve day-to-day issues.

  • Lead, engage and liaise with international client teams around the world, securing key project objectives and the quality of our engagement.

  • Design project specific operational processes related to the products and services Redslim offers, ensuring agility and flexibility.

  • Navigate the internal and external issues to ensure any roadblock is removed and deadlines are met.

  • Project management of existing and future engagements, reporting project status on regular frequency by:

  • ​Summarising and communicating statuses to clients’ stakeholders

  • Collaborating with clients’ HQ and local offices to deploy our solutions

  • Attributing responsibilities and actions for project deliverables

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position for an agency or a client side.

  • Good attention to detail in high-pressure situations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of data in general and more specifically of market data, market databases and agency data.

  • Strong technical understanding of the data production platforms

  • FMCG industry experience including data platforms and front-ends. 

  • Strong business acumen and combination operational knowledge and client focus.

Mid-Level .NET Developer

Role: Mid-Level .NET Developer

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implementation of quality .NET technical solutions to meet business and customer needs using best practice principles of fault-tolerance, reliability, testing and durability

  • Contribute to the engineering roadmap advocating for upgrades, technical refreshes and new versions

  • Mentorship of other engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills required

  • Peer review code and technical solutions to ensure business continuity

  • Research, suggest and implement best patterns and practices in line with modern industry standards
     

Essentials:

  • Strong programming skills: 5+ years’ experience on .NET Platform. C# as preferred language

  • Development based on unit testing and design patterns.

  • Good command of SQL and Entity Framework or any other ORM

  • Fundamentals understanding and experience on the practices of any Agile methodology (SCRUM/XP)

  • Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g. MySQL, Cassandra)

  • Familiarity with automated functional tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
