Creating Power BI Reports

With easy availability across many organizations, Power BI can be picked as a front-end tool of choice for selected users or specific occasions of use. However, the setup of Power BI reports on RMS and CPS datasets requires very technical knowledge that in most cases is not available within the IT team of an organization.
Our client designed a harmonised data structure for their Global RMS and CPS data, and had an ambition of sharing analysis-ready reports across all of the local teams. They wanted to bring them consistent layouts and KPIs.
Redslim was already in charge of the management of their data sources, and we were able to quickly take ownership of the design and creation of Power BI reports as well. The project kicked off in the Power BI architecture of the client, including the transition of old reports and the creation of brand-new metrics. Initially, a few iterations regarding the design took place, and after that we finalised final reports.
Being already experts in market data management, we knew how to flawlessly handle collection, transformation, masking, non-additive metrics and many more complications. It took us 3 months to transition all the users to their new set of reports in Power BI.
Today, we are refreshing Nielsen / IRI and Kantar sources and delivering insights to a dozen of users (in most cases, in just a few hours!) without CMI teams having to worry about data and reports management at all. HQ relies on Redslim SPRINT reports while local teams are leveraging Power BI in alignment with the overall data journey of their company.
