A few weeks ago, we were discussing the drastic change forced by “data revolution” across all industries. Companies are adapting to the new and fresh rivers of data.
Once again, as many other times in the past, the landscape around us is giving corporations the key to adapt to this change. When it comes to nature and adaptation there is one unique species which stands out from the rest: Chameleons.
This time around, it is not standing out for their ability to change colour. According to the latest animal book I was reading with my oldest son, a very reliable academic source of information, “Chameleons are best known for their ability to change colour, which is actually a tool to communicate with other chameleons, not a form of camouflage. But chameleons also have very unique eyes. The eyelids are fused, covering almost the full eyeball except for a small hole that the pupil can see through. The eyes move independently of one another, which allows the chameleon to scan for prey and predators simultaneously. It also provides a full360-degree field of vision.”
During the last 24 months, together with exciting clients ready to take the challenge, we built at Redslim capabilities to enable the “multi integration” of internal and external data sources, enabling the full 360-degree field vision of the market.
More rapidly than ever, channels outside the modern and traditional trade are gaining importance and weight on the product distribution and therefore sales for FMCG companies.
Traditional agencies are struggling to keep up to speed with the increase in coverage and a completely new series of data agencies, digitally equipped, start-ups in some other cases, are emerging and rapidly gaining importance.
Big names are appearing here such as Rakuten-Slice, Google Analytics and Profitero but also regional and local players gaining importance such as Segmenta-Research, SmartPath, Kline, ISCAM or CodeCheck to name a few.
What’s missing in your case to become a Chameleon with full 360-degree view?
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
